AMERICAN FORUM PRESS
ALL
THE TRUTH ALL THE TIME
The American Forum Press is
modelled after The Associated Press. Founded in 1950, the American Forum Press is
the backbone of one of the world's global information systems, serving daily
newspaper, radio, television, and online customers with coverage in all media
and news in all formats. It is one of
the largest and oldest news organizations in the world, serving as a source of
news, photos, graphics, audio, and video for multitudes every day.
AFP's mission is to maintain its
position as one of the essential global news networks, providing distinctive
news services of the highest quality, reliability, and objectivity with reports
that are accurate, balanced, and informed.
AFP operates as a not-for-profit cooperative with 1,100 employees
working in more than 100 worldwide bureaus.
AFP supplies a steady stream of
news around the clock to its domestic members, international subscribers, and
commercial customers. It has one of the
industry's most sophisticated digital photo networks, a 24-hour continuously
updated online news service, a state-of-the-art television news service, and a
major radio network in the United States under development. It also has a commercial digital photo
archive and a photo library housing more than 2 million images. AFP also provides advertising management
services.
The American Forum Press has
been nominated for a number of Pulitzer
Prizes, as often as most other news organizations in the categories for
which it can compete, and has won numerous awards, more than many other news
organizations. We are just beginning to
develop our Internet presence.
